The Pivot Master System – Solar Only is designed for centre pivot irrigation systems that operate entirely on solar power. The system converts power directly from solar panels to drive both the irrigation pump and the pivot in a fully synchronised manner, ensuring correct irrigation performance without relying on batteries or conventional inverter-only solutions.

The system automatically starts when sufficient solar energy is available to maintain correct irrigation pressure. If solar energy drops below the level required for proper irrigation, the system safely shuts down and automatically restarts when adequate solar power returns.
This prevents poor irrigation caused by pivots continuing to move while pump output becomes insufficient.

When operating a pivot system on solar power only, irrigation must be achieved within available daylight hours. Seasonal solar availability, rainfall patterns, ambient temperatures, and evapotranspiration rates must therefore be considered.
Where these factors allow the required irrigation depth to be applied reliably during the day, the Solar Only Pivot Master System provides a robust and cost-effective solution. If daytime-only operation cannot consistently meet crop water demand, a Hybrid or ESS Assisted Pivot Master configuration may be more suitable.
